He is recognized worldwide for his contributions to art. He has exhibited and won numerous major awards in his field including being named 3 times as Artist of the Year by the Victorian Arts Society and a Gold Medal winner at the Camberwell Rotary Art Show in 2002.

He is also a highly accomplished tutor, teaching and conducting workshops in Australia, the US and Europe.
